Not so Sexy Corset History Lesson

Thanks to the subsciber who gave us this link to a nice and interesting video on you tube. It documents the changing styles over the corset years from very early! Not too many sexy corsets among them but it's certainly interesting and informative and well put together.

Sexy Corsets and Bustiers Offer ending 48 hrs

The sexy corsets and bustiers offer are about to end, the suppliers are increasing their corset prices again and we have no choice but to follow suit on our corset and bustier prices.

As I was browsing around I came across this definition that I thought I may as well get down


1. A close-fitting undergarment, often reinforced by stays, worn to support and shape the waistline, hips, and breasts.
2. A medieval outer garment, especially a laced jacket or bodice.

Corsets were not always considered sexy and were a genuine undergarment or piece of underwear, not intended for show. This would really be before the "birth" of lingerie as we know it today which I understand was around the 50's and a particular film "Babydoll" had an influence, I believe. This could do with some further research in due course, perhaps someone would like to volunteer for the job? Otherwise it will be down to me again!

Another interesting lingerie research job that needs doing is to write a decent glossary of all the lingerie terms eg corset, basque,babydoll etc with good definitions for each. Again give me shout if you're interested. It won't pay well but we may be able to sort out a lingerie freebie for you!

Sexy Shoes added to our Lingerie Store

We have introduced some sexy shoes to our lingerie site. Some may say they make the perfect accessory to your lingerie set or a romantic gift in their own right. Sexy Christmas Costumes

We are now into November and it is the time to be thinking about Christmas. I know it's only two minutes since last Christmas but it's nearly here again. And therefore we must think about Christmas shopping. The longer you leave it the more chance it will be too late to get the present of your choice for gran, the kids, the wife, boyfriend etc. Costumes are no exemption to this.

Get the size right as there won't be a lot of time to sort out replacements. Our advice is if you are unsure, go for the slightly larger costume. Introduction

Hi,

Welcome to our new blog. I (John) have been tasked with setting up this blog and at this new stage I have little or no knowledge of what I am doing. I/We shall be learning as we go along so if anyone wishes to offer any help or advice it would be more than welcome!

I have opted for the advanced version, a little optomistic perhaps given my less than basic knowledge. I don't even know where this blog is going to appear, at our website http://www.lingerieandperfume.co.uk or at blogger where this is being typed.

As I come to terms with this new feature there will be some informative and helpful posts, I hope, concerning our lingerie and other items.
