Lingerie News: Marks and Spencer Bra Price Increase

Marks and Spencer have today announced that they are increasing the cost of their bras for larger ladies. Bras of a cup size DD and above will reportedly increase in price by £2. Marks and Spencer justify this price increase in the extra materials involved in making the larger bras but, as has been pointed out, a larger lady with a smaller cup size could require just as much material in her bra. Possibly overall though they are reducing their costs on the manufacture of larger bras. Some larger ladies may well be aggrieved at paying more for their bras and choose to shop elsewhere for their lingerie. We have seen in other items of lingerie the larger sizes being prices sometimes a little higher so maybe it was bound to happen. Is it a sign of the recessionary times? Is Marks and Spencer (M & S) justified in this bra price increase? We are undecided, but hopefully not all bra manufacturers will follow suit.
